Crate Training a Puppy

Crate Training a Puppy

In the past several people trained puppies by just keeping them in a pen with newspaper laid out on the bottom, or kept them confined to an area with hardwood floors or linoleum.  More recently, potty training through use of dog crates has become the most popular method to train puppies.  When training your puppy in a crate, you give them a place to sleep and feel comfortable free from intruders.  Once your puppy has identified the crate as their space, they will want to be inside it and won’t mind being separated from their owners.  They’ll also be less likely to use the crate as a fire hydrant since they sleep there.

When your puppy is tired or just needs to rest, you can put them in their crate and not worry about them getting into things while running about the house.  It’s also a great way to keep them contained when guests or other animals are present!

Practical Uses for a Dog Stroller

Practical Uses for a Dog Stroller

Most people would scoff at a stroller for your dog (after all most dogs love to go for walks!), but in truth strollers have several practical applications when it comes to caring for man’s best friend.  For example, if your dog was injured or had a bad leg, you could still enjoy their company while walking with a dog stroller.  Strollers are also great for smaller dogs that don’t have the legs or lung capacity to walk long distances.  In addition, if your neighborhood is prone to roaming dogs or if your dog happens to be a little more than feisty towards other dogs, a stroller can help protect them and keep them in check.

Dog strollers have dozens of practical uses, and are also great for people when jogging, running errands, or just taking a stroll around the neighborhood.
